About oneword
oneword is a youth worship event, inspired by Rev Andrew Stead. As a group of young Christians, we felt there was a need for something more for our young people and decided to create an informal, exciting and modern way of worship.

Our name comes from the idea that each worship event would be based around one word. We try to use words that will get people wondering what type of thing we're going to do! Our worship includes popular music (some worship and some contemporary), dancing, visuals and lighting effects. We try to create a very informal setting to make young people feel relaxed and able to worship God in an atmosphere they can enjoy.

Oneword events are held at Central Methodist Church, Batley in West Yorkshire (click here for a map). We also take oneword out to other churches to spread God's word to more young people.

We welcome young people from all church denominations to join us at our worship events. Youth leaders are also welcome, or any other friend/family who are interested. Admission is free and drinks/snacks are on sale at the end of the evening, when everyone can chill-out.

Future dates
Sunday 22 Nov 2009 @ 6.30pm - Summerbridge Methodist Church

oneword events are generally held five times a year, approximately every two/three months. Therefore, if you can't make it to those currently advertised, you will have some idea as to when the next one will be.
